While working on your Windows computer, you can encounter various error codes. But this is completely normal and you are not the only person experiencing it.

Windows showing error messages mean there’s something wrong with your computer. It could happen due to a recently installed app, a faulty device, or a driver.

Some people don’t even bother to find the cause of the error code and simply re-install the entire operating system. Surely, it will solve the problem, but there are other ways to fix these error codes. We are going to list some of the most common Windows error codes and the solution to fix them.

Here you go with the details:

  1. Error Code 0x0

Windows error 0x0 is one of the most annoying issues faced by users. It disables you to continue with your work.

The 0x0 error code can occur due to various reasons such as incomplete or failed installation of software, invalid entries in the Windows registry file, deletion of important files from the system, and virus attack. It can also happen if you shut down your PC incorrectly.

However, the good news is that the 0x0 0x0 error code is fixable. Here are some of the solutions you can try:

  • Delete all junk files from the system
  • Restore the system
  • Run the system file checker
  • Update your Windows
  1. Windows Update Error 0x80070057

This particular error occurs when there’s an issue with the Windows automatic update. In this case, Windows will refuse to install the updates, or an error message will pop up.

But there’s nothing to worry about as you can fix it by changing the name of the SoftwareDistribution folder, replacing the damaged files, or editing the registry files.

  1. Error 501 or 505

If you see this error code flashing on your screen, it means your browser is outdated, and hence, it doesn’t support the existing HTTP protocol version. It could also mean that your browser is missing the required plugins. For instance: Flash or Java, which is needed to display the content of the page.

In this case, you are required to update your browser, or simply install the missing plug-ins. You can download the plug-ins from the official portal.

  1. Error 406

Error 406 indicates that your PC is missing the software that is required to view the content. To solve this issue, you will need to download and install the required software.

Once you have the software installed, the error code should stop showing. This is the easiest solution to this problem.

  1. Error 403

If your Windows is showing this error message, it means that your computer has established a successful connection, but it lacks the required credentials to view the content of the page.

To fix this problem, you need to look for the authentication/authorization details and try again.

  1. Error 71

This is yet another common error faced by Windows users. It means that your computer is not allowed any more connections.

To resolve this issue, first, check if any person has connected to your network or not. You should also contact your internet service provider as they might have turned off the ghost program.

  1. Error 600

This error means that there’s a pending operation. When this error occurs, you should reboot your system. You must also make sure that no program is using the modem.

Alternatively, you should also check whether your Windows is spyware-free or not. Windows errors are more common than you think. Luckily, most of these errors are fixable, so you have nothing to worry about. If you can’t fix it yourself, you can take the help of a professional here.
