Google Pixel 11 Pro Leaks Reveal Design and Missing Sensor

Excitement is building in the Android world as the first designs for the Google Pixel 11 Pro have surfaced. Following earlier glimpses of the standard Pixel 11, these new leaks offer a detailed look at Google’s upcoming flagship, hinting at both familiar aesthetics and a surprising omission.

    Familiar Look, Fresh Camera Bar

The leaked CAD renders, shared by Onleaks via Android Headlines, indicate that the Pixel 11 Pro will maintain a very similar overall design to its predecessor, the Pixel 10 Pro. Google has previously stated its intention to refresh Pixel designs every two to three years, and this iteration seems to fall within a refinement cycle.

However, one noticeable change immediately stands out: an all-black camera bar. Unlike previous models that featured a metal section around the flash, the Pixel 11 Pro’s camera strip appears to be a unified, sleek black. This design choice gives the phone a cleaner, more streamlined appearance.

The Mystery of the Missing Sensor

Perhaps the most significant revelation from these Pixel 11 Pro leaks is the apparent absence of the infrared temperature sensor. This unique feature, first introduced with the Pixel 8 Pro, allowed users to measure the temperature of objects and even body temperature through the Thermometer app.

Its omission from the renders suggests that Google might be moving away from this particular piece of experimental hardware. While a niche feature, it was a distinctive element of the Pro line.

    Under the Hood and Dimensions

Beyond the design, the Pixel 11 series, including the Pro model, is widely expected to launch in August 2026. These devices will likely be powered by Google’s next-generation Tensor G6 chipset, promising improved performance and AI capabilities.

In terms of physical size, the Pixel 11 Pro is reported to measure 152.7 x 71.8 x 8.4mm. This makes it slightly thinner than the Pixel 10 Pro, which measured 8.5mm. The larger Pixel 11 Pro XL is also expected to see a slight reduction in thickness, coming in at 162.7 x 76.5 x 8.5mm. The Pro model is anticipated to retain its 6.3-inch display.

What This Means for Pixel Fans

The Pixel 11 Pro leak points towards a focus on design refinement rather than radical overhauls. The all-black camera bar offers a more cohesive look, which many users may appreciate. Furthermore, the potential removal of the temperature sensor indicates Google’s strategy might be shifting towards more universally adopted features or streamlining its hardware offerings. Conclusion

These early Pixel 11 Pro design leaks provide an exciting preview of what Google has in store for its next flagship smartphone. While the overall aesthetic remains familiar, the subtle changes, particularly the sleek camera bar and the intriguing absence of the temperature sensor, suggest a calculated evolution. As we approach the anticipated August 2026 launch, more details about the Pixel 11 Pro’s features and capabilities, powered by the new Tensor G6 chipset, are sure to emerge, keeping Android enthusiasts eagerly waiting.
