NetEase has released a new update for Marvel Rivals, introducing an Avengers-themed player-versus-player (PvP) mode and a Times Square event. The patch went live on April 30.
This update expands the game’s limited-time mode (LTM) offerings, providing players with new competitive options alongside existing cooperative play.

The new Avengers PvP mode, titled “Path to Doomsday: The Avengers,” features an asymmetric 1v6 battle where players can choose from a roster of original Avengers characters, including Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, and Black Widow, to fight against Loki. This mode marks the first asymmetric PvP battle in the game’s history.
Furthermore, the April 30 update includes new Times Square events. These mini-events are set within the Times Square arena and offer Avengers-themed activities, allowing players to earn free units and rewards.
Meanwhile, the recently introduced Blood Hunt PvE (player-versus-environment) mode continues to be available. In this cooperative mode, players currently face adversaries such as Dracula and Kingpin.
Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play, team-based hero shooter developed by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games. The game features 6v6 combat with a diverse cast of Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains battling across destructible environments. Players can find more information and updates on the official Marvel Rivals website.
