IO Interactive’s highly anticipated title, 007 First Light, has launched across platforms, but a dedicated photo mode is not available at release. Developers are currently evaluating the inclusion of the feature in a post-launch update.
Gamers keen to capture moments from James Bond’s origin story will need to wait for further announcements regarding this functionality. Photo modes have become a popular feature in modern single-player games, allowing players to pause gameplay and compose custom screenshots of in-game environments and characters.

According to Arti, a Community Manager for IO Interactive, 007 First Light does not feature a photo mode at launch. However, Arti confirmed that the development team is considering adding the feature in a future update. There is no concrete timeline or release date available for when such an update might arrive.
The game, which allows players to “Earn The Number” as a 007 agent, became available on May 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
007 First Light utilizes IO Interactive’s proprietary Glacier Engine, which has been noted for its advancements in visual fidelity, including a new software ray-traced global illumination (RTGI) solution. This technical foundation contributes to the game’s detailed environments, making a photo mode a frequently requested addition by players.
Players should monitor official IO Interactive channels for any announcements regarding future content updates that may include a photo mode.
