Google is scheduled to officially unveil its Pixel 11 series smartphones at an event in New York City on August 12, 2026. The launch event is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET.
This anticipated launch marks the latest iteration of Google’s flagship mobile devices, continuing the company’s multi-device strategy with four new models expected. The early August timing positions Google’s announcement ahead of major competitor releases.

Expected Models and Release
The Pixel 11 series is expected to include the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and a foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Following the August 12 announcement, devices are reportedly set to go on sale around August 20.
Reports also indicate a significant change in storage options. Google is expected to remove the 128GB entry-level configuration across the lineup, with all Pixel 11 models starting at 256GB of internal storage. Higher-end variants, including the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, may offer configurations up to 1TB.
Pricing and Specifications
Initial pricing suggestions indicate that the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro may maintain similar price points to their Pixel 10 predecessors, at $799 and $999 respectively. However, the Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold could see price increases, with the Pro XL potentially priced at $1,199 and the Pro Fold at $1,799. European pricing is rumored to climb by approximately €100 for some models.
Leaked specifications suggest several hardware updates. The Pixel 11 series is anticipated to feature a new Tensor G6 chipset, an upgraded 50MP camera, and a new M16 OLED display panel. Design changes may include slimmer bezels, a slightly thinner profile compared to the Pixel 10, and an updated all-black camera bar. A new ‘Pixel Glow’ feature, possibly a lighting system for notifications, has also been spotted in beta builds of Android 17. Additionally, a switch to MediaTek for the Pixel 11 series modem is possible.
Context and Competition
Google has adjusted its Pixel launch timeline in recent years, moving its hardware event to August to precede major releases from competitors like Samsung and Apple. The Pixel 9 series launched in August 2024, followed by the Pixel 10 series in August 2025. This year, the Pixel 11 series will launch ahead of Apple’s expected iPhone 18 Pro models in September and Samsung’s new foldable devices in July. Consumers can explore current Google Pixel devices and accessories directly on the Google Store. Developers interested in the Android platform can find resources on the Android Developers website.
New color options are also expected, including Light Sterling, Midnight Haze, Fuchsia, Moss, Light Fog, Dune, and Pine.
