Konami Digital Entertainment and Annapurna Interactive showcased Silent Hill: Townfall during the June 2026 PlayStation State of Play event, confirming a first-person perspective for the upcoming survival horror title. The game is scheduled for release on September 24, 2026.
This reveal provides new details for the latest entry in the long-running Silent Hill series, developed by Screen Burn Interactive. The shift to a first-person viewpoint marks a notable departure for the franchise, aiming to immerse players directly into its psychological horror elements.

Silent Hill: Townfall places players in the role of Simon Ordell, who awakens in the fictional Scottish coastal town of St. Amelia in 1996. The game focuses on Ordell’s attempt to understand his connection to the town and its inhabitants as he uncovers fragments of a buried past.
Gameplay will involve exploration, evasion, and combat using a limited set of weapons and tools. A key mechanic is the CRTV, a portable television device that players use to tune into unstable signals, revealing story fragments and locating nearby threats through narrative-driven puzzles.
The game is a co-production between Konami Digital Entertainment and Annapurna Interactive, with development handled by Screen Burn Interactive, a Scottish studio formerly known as No Code. Screen Burn Interactive is known for its work on narrative-focused titles such as Stories Untold and Observation.
Silent Hill: Townfall will launch for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Further details regarding the game’s plot and specific mechanics are expected to be released closer to its September launch. For more information, visit the official Silent Hill: Townfall website.
