IO Interactive has launched 007 First Light, a new James Bond origin story game, which incorporates puzzles and safe codes alongside its signature spy missions. The title became available on May 27, 2026, across multiple platforms.
These interactive elements introduce a layer of intellectual challenge, extending beyond the game’s established cinematic action and stealth-focused gameplay. Players must engage with these clever puzzles, adding depth to the overall experience.

According to IO Interactive, the game invites players into a reimagined origin story where a young James Bond earns his place within MI6’s elite training program. The gameplay combines stealth takedowns, state-of-the-art gadgets, and cinematic action sequences. The inclusion of safe codes and puzzles provides a distinct contrast to the more action-oriented segments, requiring players to utilize problem-solving skills.
007 First Light is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. A version for Nintendo Switch 2 is scheduled for release later in Summer 2026. For more details on the game, players can visit the official 007 First Light website.
IO Interactive, known for its work on the Hitman franchise, developed and published the new Bond title. The studio continues to expand its portfolio with diverse gaming experiences. More information about the developer can be found on the IO Interactive official website.
