Rockstar Games will release an “Extended Look” at Grand Theft Auto VI on August 27, 2026, offering fans a new preview of the highly anticipated title ahead of its November 19 release.
This announcement addresses ongoing fan anticipation for more game details as the launch date for GTA VI approaches. The upcoming release is one of the most significant video game events of 2026.

The “Extended Look” will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, August 27, at 3 p.m. ET. Following its Netflix debut, the footage will also become available on the official Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto VI website and the Rockstar Games YouTube channel at 9 p.m. ET on the same day.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. This places the game’s launch approximately three months after the upcoming “Extended Look” reveal.
Pre-orders for the game began on June 25, 2026. Rockstar Games previously released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI in December 2023, followed by a second trailer on May 6, 2025.
