Despite the challenges of integrating Google services, HUAWEI has never failed to impress with its top-notch hardware. And now, they’re about to raise the bar even higher. The company has confirmed on its Weibo account that the HUAWEI Pocket 2 will be unveiled in China on February 22.

While HUAWEI has kept most of the details under wraps, the teaser image they shared gives us a glimpse of what’s to come. It hints at a circular camera housing and cover display, a design that aligns with previous Pocket phones. Last week, Fixed-Focus Digital, a Weibo leaker, posted renders that also showcased these features. However, I’d advise taking these images with a grain of salt until we see the real deal.

The renders also revealed a triple rear camera system, adding to the anticipation. Reliable Weibo leaker, Digital Chat Station, has claimed that the phone will be powered by a Kirin 9000S processor. All signs point to the HUAWEI Pocket 2 being a flagship-tier offering, a step up from the upper mid-range device like the Pocket S.

The P50 Pocket, HUAWEI’s previous model, was a formidable device, being the first major Flip foldable with a triple rear camera system. However, I’m hoping that HUAWEI will replace the unconventional super-spectrum camera with a telephoto lens this time around.
