The upcoming season continues the content rollout for the 6v6 hero brawler, following a successful Season 7 and a shorter Season 7.5. The game, developed by NetEase Games in collaboration with Marvel Games, consistently adds new characters and game modes.

Season 8 is expected to begin on May 15, 2026, at 9 AM UTC, according to information from the official Season 7.5 roadmap. Cyclops, a founding member of the X-Men known for his optic blasts, and Devil Dinosaur, a large red Tyrannosaurus-like creature often associated with Moon-Boy or Moon Girl, are rumored to join the roster.
Season 7 of Marvel Rivals introduced heroes White Fox and Black Cat, alongside new player-versus-player (PvP) modes titled Blood Hunt and Avengers. The current Season 7.5 is concluding on May 15, 2026, making it a shorter mid-season period.
Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play title available on Windows PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S. The game pits iconic Marvel heroes and villains against each other in objective-based combat, featuring dynamic destructible environments and unique team-up abilities.
