DuduOS 3.7 is the newest stable version of DuduAuto’s car stereo system. It came out in February 2026 for the DUDU7, DUDU5/6 (UIS7862) and DUDU3/4 (UIS8581) head units, and new DUDU head units come with it. This guide has the official DuduOS 3.7 download links and step-by-step instructions for all three ways to install it: OTA, local update and USB.
It also covers the DuduOS 3.8 public beta, the older DuduOS 3.5 and DUDU Launcher, the launcher app (APK) from the same team for Android head units from other brands. We checked every download link against DuduAuto’s official forum on October 21, 2026.
What’s new in this update (October 21, 2026)
- This guide now leads with DuduOS 3.7, the current stable release, with DuduAuto’s official download links. DuduOS 3.8 has been in public beta since September 2026.
- DuduOS 3.5 is still here as the older version. Its Google Drive links stopped working, so we removed them; the Yandex Disk links still work.
- We fixed the local update steps. On DUDU5/6 (7862) and DUDU3/4 (8581) units, you extract the archive first and pick the
6315_1.zipor6316_1.zipfile inside it. Only the DUDU7 installs the.7zarchive as it is. - New: what DUDU Launcher is, where to get the official APK (version 1.016020) and how to install it on any Android head unit.

What Is DuduOS? Supported Head Units
DuduOS (also written DUDU OS or DUDUOS) is the operating system on DUDU car stereos. DuduAuto, the company behind the DUDU brand, describes it as a “highly customized Android-based operating system tailored for automotive use”. It replaces the plain Android home screen of a typical head unit with DuduAuto’s own interface: a home screen with widgets and a 3D model of your car, vehicle information and climate controls read from the car’s CAN bus, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a sound processor (DSP) with an equalizer, a theme store and over-the-air (OTA) updates.
DuduAuto (written DUDUAUTO on its forum) makes the hardware too: the DUDU7, DUDU6, DUDU5, DUDU4 and DUDU3 head units, sold on its official store at duduauto.com and through online marketplaces. Every unit comes with DuduOS, and system updates are free.
DuduOS only runs on DuduAuto’s own hardware. In 2024, DuduAuto let some owners of generic FYT head units with UIS7862 and UIS8581 chips test DuduOS after activating their unit (we tried it). Today, DuduAuto’s staff on its forum point owners of other brands to DUDU Launcher instead, and experienced users warn that the firmware won’t activate on a generic FYT unit, including ones with the newer UIS7870 chip, and leaves it unusable. On those head units, install DUDU Launcher.
Each DuduOS release comes as separate packages for each chip. This is the package to pick for each head unit:

Go by the chip, not only the model name. DuduAuto’s download posts label the 8581 package “DUDU3/4”, but the DUDU4 units on its store today use the UIS7862 chip. DuduAuto lists the chip on each product page, and the package file names show it too, for example Global_DUDU7862_….7z.
Latest DuduOS Version (3.6, 3.7 and 3.8)
As of October 21, 2026, DuduOS 3.7 is the newest stable release, and new DUDU head units come with it. DuduOS 3.8 is in public beta. This is what each version since 3.5 added:
- DuduOS 3.8 (public beta, September 2026): an all-new DUDU Launcher with a Smart Driving mode, a right-hand-drive layout, a new 360° camera app with ADAS warnings, two-finger gestures in CarPlay, Easy Mode and an OBD fault code reader.
- DuduOS 3.7 (current stable, February 2026): Boundless Mode, Dual PiP mode, support for portrait and dual-knob screens, a lock screen, separate audio channels for navigation, media and calls, and more car brands.
- DuduOS 3.6E (July 2025): Bluetooth firmware updates over the air for DUDU6 and DUDU7, 10-level speed-sensitive volume, and redesigned Sound Master and Bluetooth phone screens.
- DuduOS 3.6 (May 2025): automatic day/night themes, the MiSans system font, a rebuilt radio with better RDS, and deeper support for more car brands.
- DuduOS 3.5 (December 2024): Minimalist Mode and a redesigned vehicle information and climate control center.
What’s New in DuduOS 3.7
DuduAuto started rolling out DuduOS 3.7 in February 2026. These are the main changes from its release notes:
- Boundless Mode, a new interface mode (not on 12.3-inch widescreen units), with 10 new borderless themes in the Theme Store.
- Dual PiP mode, which runs better than Enthusiast Mode, and picture-in-picture for the third-party apps you choose.
- More Minimalist Mode layouts, now with the widgets from Enthusiast Mode.
- A redesigned CarLink screen for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the DUDU7.
- Support for portrait, small and dual-knob screens (with an extra configuration file), plus experimental UI scaling and DPI settings.
- Deeper car support for Chery, Lada, Renault, Changan, MG, Baojun, Volvo, Mazda and more.
- Separate audio channels for navigation, media, Bluetooth calls and voice.
- Always Day or Always Night mode, with screen brightness controlled by the car’s lights.
- A new 360° camera app for the DUDU7, and 1080p recording at 25 fps from the DUDU7 front camera.
- Lock Screen Mode, which you turn on under Account Linking.
- Fixes for LED, CarPlay and Android Auto, CAN bus and steering wheel button problems.
The newest offline package, build 260210, also fixed picture-in-picture, 360° camera and steering wheel button issues and improved the Android Auto picture.
Before You Install DuduOS
- Use the right package. DuduOS comes in a separate package for each chip. Check your chip in the table above before you download.
- Only on DUDU head units. Don’t install DuduOS on a head unit from another brand. Use DUDU Launcher there.
- Back up important data. A clean install with the Factory Reset files erases everything on the head unit.
- Keep the power on. Run the engine, or keep the ignition on with a healthy battery, and don’t switch the car off until the head unit has restarted.
- For a USB install: a USB drive of 8 GB or more, formatted as FAT32 or exFAT, and an app that opens
.7zfiles, such as 7-Zip on Windows or Keka on a Mac. - For an OTA update: a stable internet connection on the head unit (Wi-Fi or your phone’s hotspot).
DuduOS 3.7 Download (Current Stable)
The easiest way to get DuduOS 3.7 is the OTA app on your head unit (see OTA update). If you need the offline package, for a local update, a USB install, a clean install or to go back from the 3.8 beta, these are DuduAuto’s official links for build 260210. Pick the one for your head unit’s chip:

Each package is a single .7z archive. Download it to a computer, then make sure it’s complete before you install it. The size should match the table above. To be certain, compare its SHA-256 checksum with the list below (in 7-Zip, right-click the file and choose CRC SHA > SHA-256).

There are three ways to install DuduOS. The steps are the same for DuduOS 3.7 and the older 3.5; only the file names change.
- OTA update: the easiest. The head unit downloads the newest release itself.
- Local update: installs a package you downloaded, from the OTA app. It doesn’t work with beta firmware.
- USB install: works even when the unit can’t update itself, and it’s the only way to install beta firmware or do a clean install.
Method 1: OTA update (recommended)
- Connect the head unit to the internet over Wi-Fi or your phone’s hotspot.
- Open the OTA app and tap Check for updates.
- If an update shows up, download it and follow the on-screen prompts. Keep the head unit powered until it restarts.
DuduAuto rolls out updates in stages, so not every unit gets them on the same day. To get them earlier, turn on beta app access in the App Store settings: Settings > More Features > Appstore on DuduOS 3.7 (on DuduOS 3.5, it’s under Settings > Vehicle > Builtin App > AppStore).
OTA always installs the newest release DuduAuto has sent to your unit, which today is a DuduOS 3.7 build. To install a specific package such as 3.5, use the local update or a USB install.
Method 2: Local update from the OTA app
Use this to install a stable package you downloaded yourself. It doesn’t work with beta firmware. The file you install depends on the chip:
- Prepare the file on your computer:
- DUDU7 (UIS7870): keep the
.7zarchive as it is. Don’t extract it. - DUDU5/6 (UIS7862): extract the
.7zarchive. You need the6315_1.zipfile from inside it. - DUDU3/4 (UIS8581): extract the
.7zarchive. You need the6316_1.zipfile from inside it.
- DUDU7 (UIS7870): keep the
- Copy that file to a USB drive and plug it into the head unit, or copy it to the unit’s internal storage.
- Open the OTA app, tap Local Update and select the file.
- Follow the on-screen prompts and keep the head unit powered until it restarts.
Method 3: USB install (clean install)
- Format a USB drive of 8 GB or more as FAT32 or exFAT.
- Extract the
.7zarchive and copy everything inside it to the root of the USB drive, not into a folder. - For a clean install, also copy the files from the Factory Reset folder to the root of the drive. Do this when you install DuduOS for the first time or when the system misbehaves. It erases everything on the head unit.
- DUDU7 only: the firmware doesn’t include a voice assistant. To keep the one already on your unit, delete
AllAppUpdateA13.binfrom the drive. - With the head unit switched on, plug in the USB drive. It finds the update and installs it automatically.
- Wait until the head unit restarts on its own, then remove the USB drive.
After installing
- Check that the radio, Bluetooth, CarPlay or Android Auto, cameras and steering wheel buttons work.
- If you did a clean install, set the unit up again: your car model and CAN bus settings, Bluetooth pairing, radio presets and display settings.
- Open the App Store on the head unit and update the built-in apps.
- Try the new features, such as Boundless Mode and Dual PiP mode.

DuduOS 3.8 Public Beta
DuduOS 3.8 is a big update, with an all-new DUDU Launcher, a right-hand-drive layout and a new 360° camera app. It’s still a public beta: DuduAuto says it’s meant for enthusiasts and advanced users, recommends waiting for the stable release if you need day-to-day stability, and doesn’t offer this build over OTA. You install it from a USB drive.
The download links for DUDU7, DUDU5/6 (7862), DUDU5S and DUDU3/4 (8581) are in DuduAuto’s DuduOS 3.8 public beta announcement. To go back to the stable version later, install the DuduOS 3.7 package from a USB drive.
DuduOS 3.5 Download (Older Version)
DuduOS 3.5 (build 241222) came out on December 22, 2024. Most people should install DuduOS 3.7 instead, but if you want this version, these are DuduAuto’s official packages. Each one is a single .7z archive:

DuduAuto also posted Google Drive copies of these files, but those links no longer work. If Yandex Disk won’t download where you live, use the DuduOS 3.7 package instead: it’s newer, it has Google Drive links, and it installs the same way.

- Minimalist Mode: a clean home screen with two to four widgets. One always shows your navigation app; the others can show music, your apps, live vehicle information or a picture-in-picture app.
- Redesigned vehicle information and climate control center, with more detailed data and deeper support for many car models.
- Faster picture-in-picture (PiP) for smoother multitasking.
- Improved DSP audio processing for better sound.
- iPhone USB network sharing, so the head unit can use your iPhone’s connection over the USB cable.
- Gestures: swipe with one finger to change the wallpaper, or with three fingers to switch the 3D car model.
- Customizable navigation bar buttons.
- Better file management, with improved deleting and sorting.
- More CAN bus car models.
- Selectable SPDIF output resolution for external amplifiers.
- New sleep and wake-up options for power management.
What Is DUDU Launcher? (and How It Relates to DuduOS)
DUDU Launcher is DuduAuto’s home screen app for Android head units from other brands. It gives a regular Android car stereo the DuduOS look: the same widgets, Minimalist Mode and dock, a theme store and, on head units that allow it, picture-in-picture windows for navigation and music. You’ll also see it called the DUDU car launcher, DUDU Launcher Global or Dudu Launcher Pro, which is the name the app shows once it’s installed.
DuduOS and DUDU Launcher come from the same team, but they’re different things:

On DUDU head units, the DUDU OS launcher is built into the system and updates with it, so you don’t install it separately. DuduOS 3.8 brings an all-new version of it.
DUDU Launcher APK Download
DUDU Launcher isn’t on Google Play. DuduAuto publishes it on its official forum, in the DUDU Launcher Global thread, with download links on Yandex Disk. The latest version is 1.016020 (October 14, 2026). It comes in four builds of the same app, signed for different head units. The right one depends on your head unit’s system, not on your car.

Each APK is 35.3 MB and needs Android 5.0 or later. Not sure which one to use? Install the Public Signature build first. If Android says “App not installed”, or the app closes right after the DUDU logo, uninstall it and try the Private Signature build (or the Qualcomm or Freescale build if your unit has one of those chips). Android won’t install one build over another, so always uninstall the old one first. If none of them works, DUDU Launcher doesn’t support your head unit.
Picture-in-picture only works with a system-signed build (Public, Qualcomm or Freescale) on a head unit that accepts it, because it needs system permissions. In version 1.016020, it also needs a DUDU account with a membership (see Launcher vs Launcher Pro).
If Yandex Disk won’t download in your country, ask in DuduAuto’s Telegram group, where the team and users share the files.

- Download the APK for your head unit and copy it to a USB drive, or download it directly with the head unit’s browser.
- On the head unit, open the file manager, find the APK and tap it. If Android asks, allow the file manager to install unknown apps.
- Open the app (it’s called Dudu Launcher Pro) and allow the permissions it asks for, such as location for navigation and weather, and the microphone for voice control.
- Press the Home button and choose Dudu Launcher Pro as your home app, then tap Always. If your head unit doesn’t ask, set it in the Android settings under the default apps or home app option; the menu name differs between brands.
- To use online themes or membership features, create a DUDU ID and sign in: open the launcher’s Settings and tap Account.
To go back to your original home screen, choose it again as the home app, or uninstall DUDU Launcher. Your steering wheel buttons and factory settings keep working through your head unit’s own system, not through the launcher.
DUDU Launcher vs DUDU Launcher Pro
They’re the same app. The official DUDU Launcher APK installs as Dudu Launcher Pro: that’s the app name inside the file DuduAuto publishes (package name com.dudu.autoui), and the launcher built into DuduOS has shipped as DuduLauncherPro too. APK sites list the same app as “Dudu Launcher PRO”, often in old versions. One still offers version Global 1.010062 from May 2024, more than two years older than the official 1.016020.
There’s no separate Pro edition to buy. What does cost money is a membership inside the app:
- New users get a free 7-day membership to try every feature.
- Without a membership, some features are limited or locked. The app’s own messages say picture-in-picture requires a membership, theme downloads are limited to 3 per day, and extras such as TTS add-ons need a subscription.
- Memberships come as a subscription or a lifetime plan, paid through a QR code in the app, including WeChat payment. DuduAuto says payments are non-refundable. Users outside China have reported trouble signing in and paying, so ask on the forum before you rely on it.
About “Dudu Launcher Pro mod APK” downloads
Modded or cracked APKs promise the membership features for free. Skip them. A launcher runs all the time and can use your location and microphone, and a modified APK has been repackaged and signed by someone else, so you can’t check what was changed. It also won’t get official updates. The real APK is free to download, and the 7-day membership lets you try the paid features first.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
The head unit doesn’t recognize the USB drive
- Make sure the drive is formatted as FAT32 or exFAT.
- Check that the update files are in the root of the drive, not inside a folder.
- Try another USB port or another USB drive.
The installation is stuck or takes too long
- Keep the head unit powered. The packages are large, and installing them can take a while.
- If nothing changes for a long time, restart the head unit and try again.
- If the head unit won’t start normally, DuduAuto’s support team describes a forced upgrade: plug in a USB drive prepared for a clean install (with the Factory Reset files), press the RST (reset) button, and press it again each time the boot animation appears. After the fourth press, the upgrade screen opens. It can take a few tries.
Some features don’t work after the update
- Do a clean install with the Factory Reset files to clear old settings that may conflict.
- Update the built-in apps in the App Store.
- Ask on the official DuduAuto forum or in the Telegram group.
Can I install DuduOS on a head unit that isn’t a DUDU (FYT, Joying, Junsun and others)?
No. DuduOS is made for DuduAuto’s own head units. On other units, it won’t activate and can leave the head unit unusable. Install DUDU Launcher instead to get the DuduOS look.
Is DuduOS free?
Yes, for DUDU head units. DuduOS comes with the head unit, and DuduAuto offers updates for free over OTA and as downloads on its forum.
Is DUDU Launcher free?
The app is a free download, and new users get a 7-day membership. After that, the basic launcher keeps working, but some features, such as picture-in-picture and unlimited theme downloads, need a paid membership.
Is DUDU Launcher on Google Play?
No. The official source is the DUDU Launcher Global thread on DuduAuto’s forum.
Can I go back to an older DuduOS version?
Yes. Download the offline package of the version you want from its release announcement and install it with the USB method. For example, to leave the 3.8 beta, install the DuduOS 3.7 package (build 260210).
