Embark Studios has released the Riven Tides update for its multiplayer extraction shooter, Arc Raiders, introducing a new ARC enemy, the ARC Turbine, and a new map setting. The update, which went live on April 28, 2026, also brings new items and a limited-time event to the game.
The Riven Tides update marks the end of the Escalation roadmap, offering players new challenges and opportunities to acquire essential resources like Turbine Compressors. These compressors are crucial for progression within the game’s updated environment.

New Enemy and Map
The primary method for players to obtain Turbine Compressors is by engaging and defeating the newly introduced ARC Turbine. This floating ARC machine presents a unique combat encounter for Raiders.
Accompanying the new enemy is the Riven Tides map, set on the western coast of the Rust Belt. This new location features a deserted shoreline, the Exodus port, and the Panorama Azzurro hotel, providing fresh areas for exploration and combat.
Additional Update Features
The Riven Tides update also introduces a new minor map condition called Beachcombing. This allows players to use the Dockmaster’s Detector, a new item, to uncover buried loot hidden beneath the sand along the coast.
Furthermore, new utility items such as the Crash Mat and Powered Descender have been added, designed to assist Raiders with vertical traversal and fall mitigation. A new limited-time event, “Last Resort,” runs until May 25, offering Merits for earned XP and for finding Ship Models hidden across maps.
Game Development
Arc Raiders is developed and published by Embark Studios, a Swedish video game developer founded in 2018. The game is a multiplayer third-person extraction shooter available on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
