Coin Master is a fun game that combines a base-building strategy with a slots machine. To play, you spin the slots machine and then do something with the result. You can earn coins, attack other players’ bases, raid their stashes, or get shields to protect your own base. With the coins you earn, you can build and upgrade your structures.
Whether you’re new to the game or an experienced player, Coin Master is easy to understand and play. However, there are ways to improve your experience and play more effectively. This guide will give you tips and tricks for playing Coin Master, including how to build your base quickly and keep your coins safe from other players. Don’t forget to grab some free spins while you’re playing!

How Coin Master works?
Coin Master is a game that teaches you the basics before you start playing. Once you begin playing, you can do it your way. To play the game, you need to collect coins, and there are three ways to do this without spending real money:
- by winning coins from the Slots Machine;
- by attacking other players’ bases; and
- by raiding other players’ bases.
To do any of these actions, you need to take a Spin on the Slots Machine.
The Slots Machine
The Slots Machine is the most important part of the game, and you will be spending a lot of time playing it. You can access the Slots Machine by opening the game menu and selecting it, or by swiping down from the Village view.
Underneath the Slots Machine, you can see how many Spins you have left. Every time you play, this number decreases by one. The Coin Master Slots Machine has four reels and each reel has a different symbol. If you get four of the same symbols in a row, you will get a prize. There are five different symbols you can get: a bag of coins, a hammer, a pig bandit, a shield, and a spin capsule.
SYMBOL | AWARD |
---|---|
Bag of Coin | More free coins |
Hammer | Raid random village (get coins by attacking someone else’s village) |
Pig Bandit | Raid current Coin Master |
Shield | Protection for your village (lose less coins during an attack) |
Energy Capsule | 10 free spins |
Bag of Coin
The Bag of Coin is a picture that gives you money, and you don’t need a whole row of them to get it. Every time you get a Bag of Coin after spinning, you get a little bit of money, but if you get a whole row of them, you get even more money than if you had four individual Bags of coins.
Attack – The Hammer
If you collect a whole row of Hammers in the game Coin Master, which looks like Thor’s Hammer, you can attack another player’s base. If you have connected your Facebook account to the game, you can choose a friend to attack, but if not, the game will choose a player randomly.
When you attack, you will see the other player’s Village on your screen, and you need to select which building you want to attack. When you attack a building, you will receive a Coin prize, and the star level of the building you attacked will decrease.
Raid – The Pig Bandit
The Pig Bandit is a picture of a smiling pig with a mask like a thief. If you get four of them in a row, you’ll start a Raid right away.
When you Raid, you can’t pick who to attack like you can with Attacks. Above the slot machine, you’ll see a picture and name of your Coin Master, who is the player you have to raid. When the Raid starts, you’ll be taken to your Coin Master’s Village. Instead of attacking one of their buildings, you’ll be given three shovels to dig holes. There are many spots marked with big X’s in the Village where you can dig. Pick three spots to dig up; some will have a lot of Coins. These Coins are taken from your target’s Coin stash and it’s a good way to annoy them.
Defend – The Shield
The Shield helps keep your base safe from enemy attacks. You can use three Shields at the same time, so you’re protected from three attacks. If you have a Shield and an enemy attacks your buildings, the Shield will save your building, and you won’t lose any Star rating.
When you attack a player who has a Shield, the same rules apply. You’ll still earn 50,000 Coins, but the player’s building won’t get damaged, and their Star rating won’t decrease. It’s essential to understand that the Shield can’t protect you from Raids.
Betting
You can do something called “Betting” in Coin Master if you have lots of Spins. This means you use more Spins each time you spin the Slots Machine, but it also increases your chances of winning a lot more. Betting makes your rewards from spinning the Slots Machine bigger.
Village Building
In Coin Master, Villages are like stages that you need to go through. At each level, you have to build five different buildings. To move on to the next Village, you have to upgrade all the buildings in your current Village to a 5-star rating. This will cost you coins, and as you progress further in the game, the cost of upgrading will increase. The buildings don’t do anything special, they’re just a way to track your progress. Currently, there are 452 Villages in Coin Master, each with its own theme, that you can finish.
Revenge
Revenge is when you try to get back at someone who has attacked your village in a game. If someone has attacked your base in the game, you can use the Revenge feature to strike back. To do this, you need to spin the Slots Machine and get a full row of Hammers. This will take you to the Attack screen and switch to a random village. At the top of your screen, you will see a Revenge option. Choose this and you will see a list of players who have recently attacked you. You can select one from the list, and the game will take you to their village where you can attack them.
Coin Master Cards
To get cards in Coin Master, you need to open Chests using Coins. Chests come in different types, and the more expensive ones have more cards inside. There are collections of cards with a theme, and each collection has nine cards. If you collect all nine cards in a collection, you get rewards like more coins, spins, and even pets.
The quality of the cards you can get from a Chest depends on your Village Level, which goes up as you progress in the game. When you reach higher Village Levels, you might get special Gold Cards from the Chests. Gold Cards are rare and give bigger rewards when you complete their collections.
One fun thing you can do in Coin Master is trade cards with your friends. You can send up to five cards to your friends each day. It’s a good idea to join Coin Master communities and forums to find other players to trade cards with.
Coin Master Chests
In the Cards section, you can buy chests from the game shop using coins. All chests can give you cards up to 5-star quality level. But, the more expensive the chest, the better the chances are of getting higher quality cards. Expensive chests also have lower chances of giving you low-level cards. So, if you need a specific 1-, 2-, or 3-star card to complete a collection, it’s better to buy a lower level chest with your coins.
Apart from cards, chests can also give you pet snacks, pet XP, or bonus spins. These items are added to your inventory, and they won’t affect your chances of getting cards.
Card Drop Odds by Chest
When you open certain chests in Coin Master, there is a higher chance of getting a certain rarity of card. Mystery, Ruby, and Valentine’s chests are the only ones that have a chance of giving you a Joker card. The Wooden, Golden, and Magical chests are available from Village 3. You can get the Small Lucky Chest at Village 4, Small Easter Chest at Village 10, Big Easter Chest and Emerald Chest at Village 20, Valentine’s Chest and Big Lucky Chest at Village 30, Viking Chest and Sapphire Chest at Village 70, Fortune Chest at Village 100, Ruby Chest at Village 110, and finally the Epic Chest at Village 130.
Moon Active, the developer behind Coin Master, has provided the official probabilities for each chest. The probabilities for Bonus Spins in Mystery, Valentine’s, Small Lucky, Big Lucky, Small Easter, and Big Easter Chests depend on your current Village Level. The same goes for Pet XP; the higher your Village Level, the more potential Pet XP you can get from a Chest.
The Joker Card
The Joker Card is a very special card that is hard to get. You can get it by taking part in events or opening Mystery Chests in the Coin Master game. The Joker Card can change into any other card you want, even the rare Gold Cards. But you need to use it before it runs out of time or expires.
Pets in Coin Master
Pets are cute animals that go with you on missions and battles. They also give you bonuses that help you progress in the game called Coin Master. To get a pet, you can open the Pet screen in the game menu or tap the Egg icon below the Slots Machine.
When your pet is active, it gives you a bonus for four hours. After that, your pet goes to sleep, and you can’t enjoy its effects for a while. To make your pet wake up faster, you can feed it with Treats. You can either buy food with real money or try to win Treats by spinning the Slots Machine. Treats are given to you in addition to the regular rewards you earn from spinning.
To increase the effects of your Pet, you can give it XP Potions, which level up your Pet. Like Treats, XP Potions can be won by spinning the Slots Machine.
- Tiger: Tiger helps you get more Coins when you attack another player. If you upgrade Tiger, you can get even more Coins.
- Rhino: You can get Rhino by collecting all the Creature Cards. When you use Rhino, it can stop other players from attacking you, like a Shield. If you give Rhino XP Potions, it will be more likely to stop enemy attacks. When Rhino is at its basic level, it can stop enemy attacks 10% of the time.
- Foxy: Foxy is the first Pet you get in Coin Master. It’s not that helpful at the beginning, but it becomes more useful as you progress in the game. Foxy gives you an extra shovel when you Raid, so you can find more Coins or Chests. You can unlock Foxy when you reach level 4 in the game.
