This release marks the debut of FromSoftware’s critically acclaimed dark fantasy action role-playing game on a Nintendo console. The Elden Ring Tarnished Edition aims to bring the expansive world of the Lands Between to a new player base on the Nintendo Switch 2.

The game will be available globally on the confirmed August 28 date. While the announcement confirms an additional DLC pack, specific details regarding its content or whether it is exclusive to the Tarnished Edition were not immediately disclosed. Sources indicate the additional content, known as the “Tarnished Pack,” will also be available for purchase on other platforms on the same day.
The Tarnished Edition includes the base game, the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, new armor, weapons, and customization features for Torrent, the player’s spectral steed. It also features two new starting classes.
