Creative director GuangGuang shared the details in the latest Dev Vision Vol. 22 broadcast. The mid-season patch focuses on rotating game types, cosmetics, and competitive events rather than character additions, following the character additions in Marvel Rivals Season 10.
Avengers Infinity War Brings Six-Team PvP Battles
The first new mode, titled Path to Doomsday — Avengers: Infinity War, goes live when the update launches on October 9. The mode functions as a 2v2 deathmatch set in the fields of Wakanda. Twelve players divide into six pairs, selecting from a limited pool of 13 Avengers characters.
Every team receives an Infinity Stone at the start of a match, alongside random upgrade cards between rounds. Duos that run out of health through repeated eliminations leave the match, with the final surviving pair taking the win. The mode shifts the pacing away from traditional objective capture toward quick team eliminations.
Endgame PvE Mode Features 50-Player Thanos Encounter
The studio will introduce the Path to Doomsday — Avengers: Endgame mode on October 22, 2026. This cooperative PvE mode brings 50 players together in the ruins of the Avengers Compound to fight Thanos and his forces.
Players can also visit the Times Square social hub for Avengers-themed side activities throughout the event period. Completing hub tasks rewards Free Units, emotes, and player nameplates. The studio used similar social hub distributions during Marvel Rivals Season 9 to deliver event cosmetics.
Halloween Cosmetics and Puzzle Events
Season 10.5 adds Halloween-themed costumes for nine playable characters:

The update brings the Alchemax Headquarters map to the 18v18 Annihilation mode rotation. Players can unlock seasonal cosmetics during the Hallow’s Glow event starting October 15, 2026. A second Halloween event, Night of Illusions, begins October 29, 2026, and offers an interactive puzzle format patterned after previous seasonal activities, such as the event framework introduced in Marvel Rivals Season 8.
Ignite 2026 Finals and Upcoming Balance Changes
Competitive play will conclude its yearly circuit at DreamHack Stockholm in Sweden. The Marvel Rivals Ignite 2026 Grand Finals will bring together 12 qualifying teams from around the world to compete for the championship title.
NetEase Games confirmed that developer Zhiyong is finalizing combat balance adjustments for the mid-season update. Full patch notes detailing numerical balance changes across the hero roster will arrive closer to the October 9 deployment.
