Honkai Nexus Anima Final Closed Beta Opens Nov. 25

HoYoverse has opened recruitment for Honkai Nexus Anima's Final Closed Beta, starting Nov. 25 on PC, Android and iOS before a spring 2027 release.

HoYoverse has opened recruitment for the Final Closed Beta of Honkai Nexus Anima, its creature-collecting entry in the Honkai series. The test runs starting Nov. 25, 2026, on PC, Android and iOS, and signups are open now through the official Honkai Nexus Anima website.

Key points

  • HoYoverse's Honkai Nexus Anima Final Closed Beta begins Nov. 25, 2026, on PC, Android and iOS.
  • The game is set to launch worldwide in spring 2027 after this final test phase.
  • Players can sign up now through a recruitment questionnaire on the official website, with access granted by random draw.
  • The beta adds Chroma variant Anima, new juvenile Anima, tougher enemies, and the new Nexus Arena PvP mode.
  • All player progress and data will be wiped once the Final Closed Beta test period ends.

The test marks the last major round of player feedback before the game’s global launch, which HoYoverse has set for spring 2027. For players who have followed the game through two earlier tests, this beta offers the clearest look yet at what the finished version will include, from combat difficulty to a new competitive mode.

How to Sign Up for the Final Closed Beta

According to HoYoverse’s press release, players can apply by visiting the official Honkai Nexus Anima Final Closed Beta announcement page and following the recruitment steps. The process involves logging into a HoYoverse account and completing a questionnaire.

  • Go to the official Honkai Nexus Anima website.
  • Select Join the Test.
  • Log in with a HoYoverse account.
  • Select Join the Test again.
  • Fill out the registration questionnaire.

Access is not automatic. HoYoverse grants spots through a random draw, and selected applicants receive a confirmation email with download instructions before the test begins. Anyone who has not received an email by Nov. 25 was not selected for this round.

New Features Coming to This Test

In this beta, players take on the role of an Animaster, HoYoverse’s term for the game’s trainer-like protagonist, and begin a new storyline from the town of Iia. The developer says the test includes expanded narrative content intended to deepen the game’s world beyond what earlier tests showed.

The update introduces Chroma variants of Anima creatures alongside additional juvenile Anima forms. HoYoverse has also added the Nexus Arena, a new player-versus-player mode where users build a team lineup, get matched against other players, and climb a competitive ranking ladder.

New social interactions are also part of the test, including the ability to hold hands and hug Anima companions, or have an Anima lift the player’s character into the air. HoYoverse says the open world and challenge stages will throw tougher enemies at players this round, though it has not detailed the full scope of the combat changes.

Changes to Gacha Acquisition

HoYoverse is also adjusting how players obtain certain high-rarity items tied to the game’s gacha system, the randomized method players use to unlock characters and bonuses. The first 5-star Mindscape and Anima pulled from each Limited Bond event will now be guaranteed to be the featured limited-time item for that period, rather than left entirely to chance.

That change affects both the Limited Bond: Mindscape and Limited Bond: Anima systems, which govern how players acquire rarer creatures and upgrades during timed events. HoYoverse has not said whether this adjustment will carry over unchanged into the full spring 2027 release.

Where the Game Stands Ahead of Launch

Honkai Nexus Anima is the fifth game in HoYoverse’s Honkai series and draws on characters from Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai: Star Rail. Trademark filings and media account registrations for the project surfaced in April 2025, followed by a first closed beta, called the Nexus Bond Test, that opened for signups in August 2025.

A second test, the Evolution Test, ran starting July 9, 2026, on PC, Android and iOS. As of mid-October 2026, HoYoverse had not confirmed a release window, which led some observers to expect one more test before launch. That expectation held, and the Final Closed Beta now comes paired with the first concrete release target: spring 2027.

As with prior tests, all player data and progress will be erased once the Final Closed Beta period ends. HoYoverse has not disclosed how long the test will run or detailed region-specific rollout plans for the eventual launch.
