OnePlus Global Product Operations Manager, Manu J, announced on the OnePlus forum the availability of a new OxygenOS Open Beta build for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T users. This is the first Open Beta for the OnePlus 6T, while this is already the 9th for the OnePlus 6.
The two phone gets the same changelog for their beta releases with security patch update for December 2018. The new update adds toast message, call history for unknown numbers, and a new UI for Spam messages and call. This will also bring the data migration app for iPhone users called OnePlus Switch.

Note that beta builds are unpolished software, hence users may encounter few issues here and there. However, in return, users under beta build will be one of the firsts to try out new features under OnePlus’ development. Users of the beta build can also help the OnePlus team polish releases by reporting any bugs they encounter.

Earlier this week, older phones like the OnePlus 5 and 5T also receives an Open Beta for the Android 9.0 Pie. This brings in new features like a new UI the one that is already available for the OnePlus 6/6T. Furthermore, both the phones will also be getting an Android P gesture navigation, expanded accent color customization, and in-UI features.
