Six new games launched this Halloween weekend, spanning action RPGs, horror adventures and family party titles across PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC. Most of the releases, including Queen’s Domain and The Cat in the Hat: Rainy Day Mayhem, actually arrived October 30, a day ahead of Halloween itself, giving players a head start heading into the weekend.
Key points
- Queen's Domain, a retro-fantasy action RPG from Freshly Baked Games, launched October 30 on PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2 for $19.99.
- The Cat in the Hat: Rainy Day Mayhem from Outright Games and Casual Brothers offers 18 minigames for up to four local players.

The lineup covers a wide range of genres, from a retro-fantasy RPG inspired by FromSoftware’s King’s Field series to a licensed kids’ party game and two previously PC-only horror titles making their console debut. With Halloween and the weekend overlapping, the timing gives players several ways to fill a few days off.
Queen’s Domain Brings King’s Field-Style Combat to Four Platforms
Developed by Freshly Baked Games and published by Future Friends Games, Queen’s Domain is a retro-fantasy action RPG set on the Isle of Neasied. Players wash ashore searching for a missing father and end up uncovering the island’s darker secrets, including the awakening of a sleeping queen.
The game draws inspiration from King’s Field, the series FromSoftware built before Demon’s Souls. Combat includes a stamina meter, charged attacks and more than 20 secondary throwing weapons. Players can also wield the Legendary Holy Sword Endu, which lets them fly between platforms, alongside more than 50 other weapons to find and upgrade.
- Platforms: PS5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S
- Release date: October 30, 2026
- Price: $19.99 (£17.75)
- A free demo is available on Steam
Future Friends Games, the publisher behind CloverPit, Exo One and Laysara: Summit Kingdom, has handled the game’s distribution. Queen’s Domain has been in development since mid-2023 by a two-person studio based in the United States.
The Cat in the Hat Returns With 18 Minigames for Families
Outright Games and developer Casual Brothers released The Cat in the Hat: Rainy Day Mayhem on October 30 for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game is built around the Dr. Seuss characters Sally, Johnny, Thing 1, Thing 2 and Little Cat A, with the Cat in the Hat and the Fish guiding the action.
Players can tackle 18 minigames solo or with up to four people in local multiplayer, including a hide-and-seek mode called Find the Cat that spans 14 rooms. The game was announced in May 2026 as part of Outright Games’ licensed family catalog, made in partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises.
