The next expansion for Pokemon TCG Pocket, named Paradox Drive, has been revealed, introducing Ancient and Future cards to the mobile game.
This set shifts the game’s focus to these distinct card types, building on previous expansions and offering new strategic possibilities for players in the digital collectible card game.
Paradox Drive marks the debut of Paradox Pokémon, specifically within the Ancient and Future subcategories, including creatures like Koraidon and Miraidon, which first appeared in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games. This expansion follows the Pulsing Aura set, which focused on Mega Evolution mechanics within Pokemon TCG Pocket.
The mobile game, developed by Creatures Inc. and DeNA Co., Ltd., launched in October 2024 for iOS and Android devices. It aims to provide a casual and accessible way for fans to collect and battle with digital Pokémon TCG cards. Players can open two free booster packs daily and collect a mix of nostalgic artwork and new cards exclusive to the game.
Furthermore, Pokemon TCG Pocket incorporates “Immersive cards,” which feature animated illustrations designed to draw players into the card’s world. The game also includes features like “Wonder Pick,” allowing players to obtain a random card from another player’s recently opened booster pack, and offers streamlined 20-card deck battles with options for auto-battle, auto-build, and rental decks to assist players of all skill levels.
