Motorola today announced the Razr 70 Ultra foldable smartphone, which will launch as the Razr Ultra (2026) in the U.S.. The new clamshell device aims to offer significant advancements beyond previous iterations, incorporating a new camera sensor, enhanced battery technology, and a focus on artificial intelligence features.

The Razr Ultra (2026) will be available for pre-order in the U.S. on May 14 and universally unlocked on May 21, priced at $1,499.99. The Razr 70 Ultra will launch in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific in the coming months, with a starting price of £1,199.99 or €1,299.99 in the UK and EU.
The device features a 7-inch Extreme AMOLED main display with a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness. The external cover screen is a 4-inch Extreme AMOLED panel, also with a 165Hz refresh rate and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. This external display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3.
Powering the Razr 70 Ultra is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform. It includes 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The Razr 70 Ultra integrates a triple 50-megapixel camera system. The main rear camera utilizes a LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) sensor, designed to capture up to six times more dynamic range for improved photography. This system also includes a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens with macro capabilities and a 50-megapixel front-facing camera.
A 5,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery supports 68W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, promising over 36 hours of use on a single charge. The smartphone runs on Android 16 and incorporates AI-powered features, including integrations with Google Gemini, Moto AI, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot.
Design options for the Razr 70 Ultra include PANTONE Orient Blue with an Alcantara finish and PANTONE Cocoa with a wood veneer finish. The phone features a titanium-reinforced hinge and IP48 water and dust resistance, enhancing its durability.
