Motorola launched eight new smartphones on April 29, expanding its Razr, Edge, and G-series lineups with diverse models from premium foldables to budget-friendly options.
This extensive announcement introduces updated designs, enhanced camera systems, and artificial intelligence features across its portfolio, aiming to cater to various market segments.

Razr Foldables Lead the Lineup
The company introduced three new Razr flip phones: the Razr 70, Razr 70 Plus, and Razr 70 Ultra.
- The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra features a 7-inch 1.5K pOLED LTPO internal display with up to 5,000 nits peak brightness and a 4-inch pOLED LTPO external display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm Mobile Platform, includes 16GB of RAM, 256GB or 512GB of storage, and runs Android 16. The device also sports a 50MP triple camera system and a 5,000mAh battery with 68W charging. It is priced at $1,499.99 in the United States.
- The Motorola Razr 70 Plus comes with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 45W charging. This model costs $1,099.99.
- The base Motorola Razr 70 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7450X processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,800mAh battery with 30W charging. It is available for $799.99.
Pre-orders for the Razr lineup in the U.S. begin May 14, with wide availability starting May 21. European pricing for the Razr 70 Ultra is €1,399.99, the Razr 70 Plus is €1,149.99, and the Razr 70 is €899.99.
Edge and G-Series Additions
Motorola also debuted the Moto Edge 70 Pro. This smartphone features a 6.8-inch 1.5K pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5200 nits peak brightness. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, offers up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage, and includes a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging. The Edge 70 Pro also features a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. In India, the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at Rs 38,999 (approximately $415). Sales for the Edge 70 Pro began April 29 in India.
Furthermore, Motorola expanded its budget-friendly G-series with four new entries, including the Moto G87. The Moto G87 features a 6.78-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED screen, a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, a 200MP rear camera, and a 5,200mAh battery. It starts at 399 Euros (around $466) and will roll out in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and LATAM (Latin America) regions in the coming weeks. The Moto G37 was also announced, priced at £199.99 or €209.99.
Integrated AI Capabilities
Motorola integrated several artificial intelligence upgrades across the Razr lineup, such as Group Shot for fixing blinking faces and Auto-zoom tracking. These Razr phones will also provide access to AI tools including Google Gemini, Moto AI, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot.
