TUTORIAL: (Step by Step Guide)
Step 1: Download Android SDK Platform-Tools (Official from Android.com) from the links below:
depending upon your operating system, and extract it anywhere on your computer.
Step 2: Switch OFF your OnePlus 5 and connect to the PC using USB cable (use the official one).
Step 3: Download TWRP for cheeseburger (Official) and save it to the same directory as the extracted SDK package.
Step 4: Now, go to the Fastboot mode of your phone. How? Press and hold Volume Up + Power button till you see the Bootloader screen.
Step 5: Navigate to the same directory where you have fastboot (extracted in step 1) and open command prompt.
- For Windows: Shift + Right-click > Open Command Prompt
- For Mac OS X and Linux, use Terminal to navigate to this directory.
Step 6: Type the following command and hit enter:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-1-cheeseburger.img
NOTE: Filename may be different (i.e. twrp-3.2.1-1-cheeseburger) depending upon the version of TWRP you have downloaded.
If you have downloaded version twrp-3.2.1-1, then you need to type:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-1-cheeseburger.img
You are DONE!
Now enter to the recovery mode (TWRP recovery):
Switch OFF your device. Now press and hold Power + Volume Down button together until the OnePlus logo shows up.
