Meizu unveiled Flyme OS 7 alongside Meizu 15 lineup. With the Flyme OS 7, Meizu brings more changes on their UI, colours, wallpapers, faster facial recognition technology, and some smart features. The company is also rolling Flyme OS 7 update for some of their older devices.
Flyme OS 7 brings AI beautification, portrait backtracking, new game modes, night mode and more features. On their official forum, they said, Flyme OS 7 has more than 300 new features and 1300 optimisations.

The camera app got additional updates too. The AI beauty mode will adjust automatically based on your age, features and skin type (without smudging skin texture).

How to download the correct firmware
This is important!
Make sure to check the correct device model for your Meizu phone. Then based on your variant, download the appropriate firmware from above.
Download the latest firmware for your Meizu device from above and install it using the steps below!

- Make sure your phone has at least 80 – 85% charge. If not, please do charge it before starting the experiment.
- This tutorial may WIPE OUT all your DATA. Make sure to create a Backup of everything before starting the tutorial.
- You need to enable USB Debugging mode to connect your Android phone to computer. (Settings > About Phone > Build number > Tap it 7 times to become developer; Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging).
- If your Meizu device is already rooted, make sure to factory reset once before upgrading to the new firmware. Otherwise, your device may behave abnormal, or you will face system errors.
How to Install Meizu Stock Firmware
Method #1: On the phone
- Download the Stock Firmware (Update.zip) for your device on your computer.
- Now, connect the device to your PC using USB Cable.
- Copy and paste the downloaded (Update.zip) file to the internal storage of your phone.
- Open the Documents, and click on the Update.zip file.
- The system will start upgrading; please do not turn off the phone till the installation complete.
- Once the installation is completed, the phone will reboot automatically.
Method #2: Recovery Mode
- Download the Update.zip firmware file and copy it to the internal storage of the phone (Root directory).
- Switch OFF the device.
- Enter to the recovery mode: Press and hold [Volume Up] + [Power] button for 15 seconds.
- You will get into the upgrade page.
- Now choose “System Upgrade”, and click start.
- Just wait for few minutes until the installation completed.
Note: After the installation, perform a factory reset to avoid system bugs. (Settings > Phone >Storage >Factory reset) to reset the phone).
That’s it! Your phone has been upgraded to the latest version of Official Meizu Firmware. Go to System > About to verify the firmware version.
